Email Autoresponders – What They Are and How They Work

author | September 28, 2009

The saying that “The money is in the list” is dead on correct.

But only in the subscriber list, not a spam list. Besides blatantly spamming, how can anyone build a huge email list?

The solution is using autoresponders. On our site we have many email autoresponder reviews, including review of Aweber, GetResponse autoresponder review and 1ShoppingCart review. We also compare autoresponders side-by-side so you can choose the one that you can afford.

Still, lets take a look at the basic questions first. What is an autoresponder, and how does it work?

Email marketing software that manages your email list, thats what an autoresponder does

You can set-up a first email and as man follow-up emails as you want. New optins automatically get your predefined messages until the end of the queue.

Isn’t that amazing? However, here is a line of text that I have no idea why I’m putting it here except the fact that I need to make my article more unique to avoid the duplicate content penalty by Google (just kidding).

Besides that, personalization of emails is another benefit.

Hosted autoresponders, autoresponder scripts, and desktop autoresponders – those are the three types available today. Each is different and works in different ways. Get the one that you can afford, and that meets your needs.

A word of caution though  if you plan to use an autoresponder script to send emails, make sure you have the correct web hosting for your autoresponder or risk losing a lot of data.

As soon as possible go and get yourself an Aweber or GetResponse account. It will be the best bang for busk in your online business venture believe it or not.
